A grassroots initiative in which as many cities around the world as possible carry out various activities to promote peace and non-violence.

From 21 September to 4 October 2026.
In as many cities as possible on six continents. We want to reach at least 100 cities.

The 3rd WM will start in San José de Costa Rica on 2 October 2024, International Day of Nonviolence, fifteen years after the 1st WM.

With the antecedents of the 1st World March 2009-2010, which run through 97 countries and five continents during 93 days. With the accumulated experience and counting on sufficient indication of participation, supports and even more collaborations…
This 2nd World March for Peace and Nonviolence 2019-2020 is planned.
- To denounce the worldwide dangerous situation with increasing conflicts
- To keep creating awareness that it is only through "peace" and "nonviolence"
- To make visible the different and much variety of positive actions which are being carried out by people, groups and citizens in numerous places towards the direction of the human rights
- To give voice to the new generations who wish to take over and leave a mark
